An unidentified National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, has been confirmed dead, while several others sustained injuries, after an heavy duty truck rammed into multiple vehicles around the Agodi Gardens area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
Eyewitnesses said the truck driver had crushed several vehicles around the Sango area before heading towards Agodi Gardens, where the vehicle reportedly rammed into a motorcycle, killing the corps member and injuring several other people.
Report explained that the driver had first attempted to escape before another accident occurred around the Agodi Gardens area.
The accident eventually caused traffic disruption in the area, prompting a diversion of motorists as emergency responders moved to the scene.
Speaking on the incident, personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed that the injured victims had been taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately clear as of the time of filing this report.
