Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has announced the appointment of Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole popularly called ‘Wolekanle’ as his new Chief of Staff.
The appointment was announced a few hours after the last occupant of the office, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, had tendered his resignation letter.
Recall that Ogunwuyi, a native of Ogbomoso, had in the early hours of Monday announced his resignation from Makinde’s government.
The development led to the appointment of Akinwole, also an indigene of Ogbomoso, as a replacement.
Before his new appointment, Akinwole was the Chairman, Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, the office he assumed last year.
The Governor also announced the appointment of Mrs. Aderonke Adedayo as Director-General of the Due Process Office.
The appointments, contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Musbau Babatunde take immediate effect.
