Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has congratulated the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the victory as a triumph for democracy and the entire people of Osun State.

Governor ‎Makinde, in a statement on Sunday, said Adeleke’s victory is a reward for his commitment to serving the people and delivering good governance, commending the voters for exercising their franchise with courage despite the pressure surrounding the poll.

‎The governor, who is also Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, urged Adeleke to see his re-election as an encouragement to do more for the development of Osun State.
‎
‎Makinde also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, for the conducting transparent and credible election, noting that the off-cycle poll was a litmus test for the 2027 general elections.
He therefore urged the commission to maintain public confidence in electoral processes.
