The Ogbomosho North Constituents have called on the national leadership of the African Democratic Congress to disregard the recently announced Bisi Ilaka factional candidate, Christopher Gbadamosi and accept Hon. Akin Oke-Mountain as the authentic candidate that will represent the constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly election come 2027.
The Constituents in their number protested against the trending factional candidate, describing the decision as misrepresentation of their choices.
Recall that Akin Oke-Mountain was announced an unopposed candidate of the party during Friday’s Primary Election held at Agboni Primary School, Ogbomosho, with mammoth constituents approving the representation of the grassroots politician.
In his reaction, Oyo State ADC Chairman, Hon. Yinka Olona in a phone interview, confirmed that Akin Oke-Mountain remains the authentic candidate of the party for the 2027 general elections, describing Gbadamosi as a ‘destroyer’, and ‘a joker’ of democratic process.
The ADC chieftan assured Ogbomosho North and Oyo State ADC to disregard the candidature of Bisi Ilaka factional candidate, challenging him to present a record of his availability at the Friday’s Election to prove his emergence.
Reacting to the development, Oke-Mountain, who is the son of the prominent Old Southwestern politician, urged members of the party in the Constituency to remain calm and law abiding, pledging an inclusive representation, if elected in the forthcoming General Elections.
“I do not seek power at all cost, you demanded my representation for a due transformation of Ogbomosho North, and I heeded your call. I remain the authentic candidate for representation for I belong to the authentic home grown faction- Yinka Olona, never be moved.” He stated.
