The Aare Musulumi of Ogbomoso Land, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Owodunni is dead.
Alhaji Abdulganiyu was the 2nd Aare Muslim of Ogbomoso turbaned by the late Soun, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Jimoh Ajagungbade III.
The late religious leader was the son of the Ogbomoso business tycoon and philanthropist, Baba Owodun of Owodun conglomerates.
He was until his death a leading member of the Muslim Affairs Community and forefront in making Ogbomoso Muslim become one.
A statement by a member of Ogbomoso Muslim Justice Forum, Alhaji Fatai Adewuyi, described his death as a colossal loss to the community, noting that he died as an honourable and devotee Muslim.
Alhaji Owodunni, who died on Saturday in Lagos, had been buried according to Islamic rites at his Oke Afin residence, Ogbomoso on Sunday.
He is survived by wives, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends.
