In a major boost to his push to represent Egbeda State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Yemi Bernard Olurinde has announced the appointment of Olusegun Owoyemi Akanbi as the Director General of The Yemi Bernard Olurinde Campaign Council.
The announcement was made in Ibadan during a strategic stakeholders meeting with the party chairmen of the All Progressives Congress across the entire wards in Egbeda Local government.
The appointment of Akanbi, a grassroots mobilizer, experienced politician with track records and a respected leader in Egbeda Local government with deep connections across all wards, has been described as a strategic move to strengthen the campaign structure and ensure victory for effective representation.
Announcing the appointment, Hon. Olurinde said the choice of Akanbi was based on his proven track record, loyalty, capacity and wide acceptability among the people of Egbeda.
The Campaign Council is expected to unveil its full structure and ward coordinators in the coming days.
