The Nigeria Democratic Congress, Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Monday attended the inauguration of the campaign office of his Allied Peoples Movement counterpart, and Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
A footage from the inauguration showed the former Anambra state governor, sitting beside the National Leader of the APM, Bala Mohammed.
Speaking At the inauguration, Bala, who is also the Bauchi state Governor, urged Nigerians not to underrate the party and its Presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 elections.
“Whoever disregards us is at his own peril, we are here to reset Nigeria and we are bringing in one of the best human capitals that Nigeria has ever produced at the sub-national and national level, that is Makinde,” he said.
Recall that the opposition political parties had on April 25, gathered in Ibadan, and made what appeared to be their boldest political statement ahead of the 2027 general election.
The commitment was designed to unite behind a single presidential candidate to challenge President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress.
