The Peoples Democratic Party, has expelled the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyeson Wike, former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, and former National Secretary of the party, Senator Samuel Anyawu from the party for anti-party activities.
Others expelled are; the party’ s National Legal Adviser, Adeyemi Ajibade, SAN, Mao Chuambuwa, Umar Bature, George Turner, AbdulRahman Mohammed, Austin Nwachukwu, Dan Orbih and Abraham Ammah.

Reports explained that the development was as a result of a motion moved by a revered member of the Board of Trustees and one of the founding fathers of the party, Chief Bode George, which was unanimously approved by the states’ delegates under the supervision of PDP Chairman, Ilya Damagun at the party’s ongoing Elective National Convention in Ibadan.
In the same vein, Oyo state Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde also moved a motion for the ratification of the executive and structure of the party at all levels, including wards, local and states, where congress had been conducted.

Governor Makinde however declared that the Congress in Imo, Abia, Enugu, Akwa Ibom and Rivers states have been nullified and the convention therefore dissolved their entire structures.
He added that the dissolution of the executives in the states would be published in the national dailies for the general public to take note.
