Nigeria Wallop Gabon 4-1 To Boost World Cup Hopes

Super Eagles of Nigeria on Thursday defeated the hard fighting Gabon 4-1 in the playoff for the 2025 world cup.

Goals from Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke and Victor Osimhen are all the Nigerian team needed to go past their African counterpart.

Adams scored the first goal for Super Eagles in the 76th minute before Mario Lemina strikes back to make it 1-1 in the 86th minute to wrap up the regular playing time.

Two Goals from the Galatasaray point man, Osimhen and a goal from Ejuke were all Nigeria needed in the extra time to edge past their opponents, as the game ended 4-1 in favour of the Super Eagles.
