Lagelu FM, Ibadan Losses OAP, As Management, NUJ Mourn

The broadcast community in Oyo State has been thrown into mourning, following the passing of a beloved on-air personality with Lagelu FM 96.7, Ibadan, Kola Oladapo, fondly called Mr. Nice Guy.

The management and staff of the radio station announced the shocking news in an emotional tribute shared on social media, describing Oladapo as a pillar of warmth, professionalism and human connection.

According to the statement, the late broadcaster’s voice was a daily source of inspiration to listeners across the state, as he consistently informed, entertained and uplifted his audience with authenticity and excellence.

“He was a man of many talents who carried his greatness with humility and grace, leaving deep impressions on colleagues, friends and listeners alike,” the station noted.

In the same vein, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has extended its heartfelt condolences to the entire management and staff of Lagelu 96.7FM, as well as the family of the Mr 9ice Guy, on his painful passing.

The condolence was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Akeem Abas and Secretary, Temidayo Adu, stating that it received the news with deep shock and profound sadness.

While praying that God gives the Oladapo family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, it also prayed that Almighty grants the departed eternal rest.
