The Organic Nigerians Group has declared its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group made the declaration in Ibadan during a gathering of key stakeholders and members of the organisation.
In his address, the Coordinator-General of the group, Adekanmbi Siyanbade, said the organization, comprises professionals and other citizens from different backgrounds, including farmers, traders, barbers, Professional Event Planner and Vendors Association of Nigeria and other members of society, was fully ready to work for Senator Alli’s electoral success.
Siyanbade maintained that the organisation was established to encourage the citizens to take active roles in determining who governs them, as government policies and decisions directly affect their businesses, livelihood and future.
Also speaking, one of the top farmers association trainers, Engr. Salawudeen Isiak, expressed confidence in Senator Alli’s ability to formulate people-centred policies and trainings that would improve the well-being of the Nigerian farmers.
The group however announced that its members would embark on grassroots mobilisation across the state, including door-to-door engagement, with the objective of securing more than 200,000 votes for Senator Alli.
Highlight of the event was the unveiling of Organic Nigerians for Asiwaju 2027 (#ON4BAT27) and Organic Nigerians for BSA27 (#ON4BSA27) as support platforms for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election and Alli’s governorship ambition respectively.
