There was a reported tension on Thursday, at the Oyo state House of Assembly, following calls by some lawmakers for the impeachment or resignation of the Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin over an alleged attempt to unseat Governor Seyi Makinde.
Reports explained that the development was as a result of a closed door meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party caucus of the House, where the lawmakers expressed their anger about the alleged plot to remove the governor.
According to the report, some influential figures believed to be loyal to the governor are backing moves to either remove the Speaker or pressurize him to resign from the exalted Legislative office.

The lawmakers reportedly described the allegations as unproven and politically motivated, as the situation has heightened concerns over possible instability in the House and growing cracks within the ruling party in the state.
Unconfirmed reports said powerful individuals close to the state leadership may be fuelling the crisis, causing an internal power struggle.
As a result of this, political stakeholders have now been calling for the urgent intervention of Governor Makinde, in order to calm tensions, preserve party unity and prevent the matter from escalating into a broader political imbroglio.
